Ms. Meghna Butani, celeb makeup artist takes us through 4 simple eye makeup looks step by step and tells us why variations of the famous smokey eye work for Indian outfits.

Coral smokey eye look
Since coral is very in this season, one can complement this eye makeup look with most Indian outfits. Use a coral eye shadow all over the lid, add a darker brown tone on the outer eye  corner and blend the two colors.

Use a cream pencil on the waterline and a brown on the lower lash line and smudge, a hint of coral on the lash line and loads of mascara to complete.

Purple, blue and green eye makeup
Looking to add a dash of color to your look? Use purple color as a liner on the upper and lower lash line, blue eye shadow on the eye socket and blend a green eyeshadow slightly toward the brow bone. Purple blue and green,work best for a plain black or white outfit.

Classic smokey eye look
Use a black eyeshadow to create a socket shape on the outer corner of your eye. Use a creamy eye pencil and smudge. Repeat the same on your eyelids and lower lashline and smudge for that smokey effect. The shape can be extended outward with a blender brush

Gold bronze smokey eye
Use a gold on the eye socket area, use a bronze toward the corner to smudge. Both the gold and bronze eyeshadows should be slightly shimmery. Use a black eyeliner and a kajal to complete the look.
