In case you are travelling and these environmental changes are inevitable, make sure you put the meter and the strips in an insulated container (a plastic, re-sealable bag which will keep the meter and strips dry).
Also, do not use strips that are past their expiry dates or if the bottle is damagedcracked and make sure you replace the cap of the bottle immediately after removing a test strip.
