5 odd yet amazing sushi desserts

Purists may get infuriated, but with Sushi there is so much more to explore. And now, with food-porn reaching new heights as people are exploring several different kinds of combinations of this authentic Japanese food. So here is us taking a look at just what people around the world are rolling in to their traditional wraps...

1) Banana and Nutella sushi
A sinful sweet dish, this sushi variant has very little in common with traditional sushi, besides the fact that it can be rolled in a similar fashion. What's best is that you can even use chapatti as base instead of nori sheets. All you have to do is spread Nutella on the roti bread base, place a banana on the edhe, and proceed to roll and dice like the actual sushi.

2) Peanut butter and jelly sushi
A delight for the little ones, this sushi variant is another tasty sweet treat you can roll up at home. All it requires are three most common ingredients found in most homes. So, just take a slice of bread and flatten it. Spread peanut butter first and then jelly on the flattened slice. Roll it up nice and tight, and cut into four identical pieces.

3) Waffle breakfast sushi
This one may be a little tricky to rustle up at home, but if you can nothing like it. If you like your waffles with strawberries, bananas, pineapples and cream cheese, you will love this one. Just spread cream cheese on a freshly made waffle. Place your choice of fruits, and roll it like a sushi mat.

4) Thai coconut sticky rice with mango sushi
Agreed that rice and mango may not be the best combination when it comes to it. However, when it comes to sushi, it seems to work and is quite a popular dish. Just like Sashimi, place the piece of mango on the sticky rice. You can garnish with sesame seeds. Dip it in sweet coconut milk and relish the flavours.

5) Fruit Sushi
Both eating and making this healthy and tasty dessert is a lot of fun. The trick here is to cut your fruits as thinly as possible. Lay a plastic wrap on the table and place the thinly cut fruit slices on it. Place and place some sweet or plain sushi rice in the middle of the fruit and then tightly roll the cellophane into a ball. You can try different combo of fruits like Kiwi, strawberry or bananas.
