What's your workout style Find it out!

Well, not everyone likes doing everything. That's why it makes sense to find a workout you'll enjoy. It can only mean one thing - you will stick to it.

YOGA

Someone who is looking for balance, harmony and the right way to live. Those who prefer yoga are in sync with themselves and nature, and enjoy a workout that leaves them feeling balanced and centred. You focus on your breath with the same intensity as those doing jumping jacks and crunches.

Most importantly, you are willing to stretch beyond limitations, an eye-opener to the inner self, discovery of body love and affection and discovering the beauty that lies deep inside you,, says Sumaiya Azeez, choreographer and trainer.

Irrespective of age, yoga is the answer to people who are questioning, searching and seeking solutions for the mind, body and spirit,, says Nimmou Nilakantan, aerobics and step trainer. A strengthening routine which has been a consistent winner.

KICKBOXING

You're fierce, feisty and fearless, looking to unleash your inner warrior. Highly energetic people looking for away to safely vent, release that pentup energy and aggression. This usually suits those who have the fight rather than flight attitude in facing problems,, says Nimmou.

WEIGHT TRAINING

This is for those who seek strength and stability. These people are not endorphin or adrenaline junkies. They like their set routine and have clear goals and grind away at it till they reach their target. They are usually more serious and do not require the energy of a class - they usually plug away on their own,, says Nimmou.

LATIN DANCE

Whether you get sweaty to salsa or mambo, you're not afraid to reveal your sexy side by working out to dance. Such people are full of life. The fast footwork shows that you are ready to mix your cardio with style.

RUNNING

Runners are adrenaline junkies. For them, running is like a religion. They love the natural high they get from running, the freedom it gives them, the instant Nirvana attained. They are a disciplined lot but tend to be a bit more isolated. Very few serious runners run with partners, and once they get the runners body, they are hooked for life. Running improves stamina and fitness levels. Running to me channelises and activates your system making you feel so free, I call it 'the freedom,, says Sumaiya.

BOOT CAMP

If you need someone screaming in your face to get you moving, then boot camp is the right place. These are aggressive, military discipline seeking people - control freaks,, says Nimmou. They do not shy away from intensity and enjoy military-style drills like push-ups, sprints and sit-ups. A good calorie burner.

STEP AEROBICS

According to Sumaiya, step aerobics are great for legs and shapes up the lower body and women love it. People who enjoy a step class enjoy rhythm, music and the high energy produced when the entire room is moving in unison to the pulsating beat of music.

These are people who enjoy a workout which requires a bit of concentration, is challenging without being too stressful and makes them feel limber and loose. They are diametrically opposite to a person who is a dedicated weight lifter,, says Nimmou.

INDOOR BIKE

Hopping onto an indoor bike shows that you are fearless enough to ride all kinds of rough terrains - including stubborn hills - but you prefer to remain in the driver's seat and ensure you get a kick-butt workout.

HIP-HOP

Stylish, fast, bold, acrobatic and an upbeat form for those who want to have a good time along with a good workout,, says Sumaiya. Enjoyment is a higher priority for such people. A fitter body is an added bonus as their main purpose is to have good fun.

SWIMMING

Swimming hooks a person with none of the bruises, aches and pains of running. The person who loves swimming is looking for rejuvenation rather than a high, they look for total relaxation and enjoy the freedom of literally defying gravity,, says Nimmou. A swimmer is usually a wall balanced, calm personality who would rather breeze through life than kick, run or box. It is a great routine for strengthening weak backs, weak muscles and joints,, says Sumaiya.
