DHAKA: Bashundhara City Shopping Mall has become a role model in South East Asia not only for its aesthetic beauty also in the field of fire prevention and extinguishing.
So, the trainees of Fire Service & Civil Defense department are coming to the shopping mall for practical knowledge.
At the Fire Service & Civil Defense complex, the leadership training course is going on. The trainee senior officials of this course came to the mall at 11:00am Wednesday.
In the course Deputy Assistant Directors (DAD), Senior Station Managers (SSO), Station Officer (SO) and Ware House Inspectors of different zones are participating in the training.
The group of 33 trainees was led by the training complex adjutant Md. Salehuddin.
He said, “The fire extinguishing arrangements of Bashundhara City has become a role model. We bring our trainees here for imparting practical knowledge.”
Giving thanks to Bashundhara Group for giving opportunity to inspect, that official told that there are such equipments which we don’t have. “So, our officers are getting chances to acquire practical knowledge here,” he said.
The officials are using their acquired knowledge for the benefit of the country. In that sense Bashundhara Group is rendering services to the country, he commented.
Bashundhara City development in-charge & Adviser(Technical) to the Bashundhra Group chairman T.I.M Latiful Hossain said, ‘for the welfare of the country and people’ is the slogan of Bashundhara Group. If your acquired knowledge comes in the service of the people, that is our achievement.
The visiting trainees saw the Mall’s basement fire office, alarm panel and pump house. Bashundhara City fire in-charge Gazi Golam Mostofa informed the trainees about the use of every part of the arrangements.
The shopping mall measuring about 1.912 million square feet meanwhile has drawn the attention of the country men as well as foreigners for its external aesthetic beauty. By this time it has earned a number of awards both from within the country and abroad.
