COMILLA: Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Comilla-Noakhali road in Harishchar Bazar area of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Harishchar College teacher Fakhrul Islam and another remained unidentified instantly.

Local sources said that a Comilla-bound covered van rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw at around 8:15am in the area, leaving a passenger of the auto rickshaw dead on the spot and another one died at Comilla Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the matter Lalmai Highway police out post In-Charge Sub-Inspector Khorshed Alam told banglanews, “Agitated locals blocked the roads after the accident.”
