TANGAIL: A woman and her son were killed and a motorcyclist husband was injured in a road accident in Bhuapur of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased were identified as Maya Begum, 25, wife of Jewel of Jugihati village of Ghatail upazila and her son Miraj, 2.

Sources said that Jewel along with his wife and son was going to Bhuapur riding a motorcycle. When they reached in Shialkhol area, a passenger bus ran over them from behind, leaving Maya dead on the spot and two others injured.

Injured motorcyclist and Miraj were admitted to nearest hospital where Miraj succumbed to his injuries.

Bhuapur Thana Officer-in-Charge Harech Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
