DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad welcomed Narendra Modi newly elected to-be prime minister of India.

Ershad greeted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Friday after their unofficial absolute majority in the Indian national elections.

Jatiya Party Chairman also greeted the people of India as they showed once again that they are unique and also dedicated in giving democracy an institutional shape, said a JP media release.

India’s national election was arranged from April 7 to May 12.

The poll results on Friday shows Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his party as well as the BJP-led alliance unofficially won an absolute majority in the polls.
