DHAKA: Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on Tuesday announced that all drivers will blow their vehicle horns on Thursday noon protesting the countrywide violence amid blockade enforced by BNP.
The minister made the announcement when addressing a pretest rally in front of the National Press Club in the city.
Shahjahan said people from all walks of life will take stand-position together from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm on Thursday protesting BNP-Jamaat’s countrywide violence.
Moreover, horns from all vehicles will be blown at 1:01pm in protest of violence, he added.
Simultaneously, traders will join the protest program, blowing whistles from their business establishments.
The minister also said a press conference will be held at National Press Club on the matter on February 4.
Agenda of greater protest movement will be announced from a convention of ‘Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi O Muktijoddha Samanya Parishad’ at BMA Auditorium in the city at 3:00pm on February 7, the minister added.
