Govt heading towards another ‘discordant’ election: Rizvi Rizvi among other BNP leaders at press conference

DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the government is moving towards another January-5-like controversial election leaving many issues untidy.

The BNP leader made the remark at a press conference in BNP’s Naya Paltan office on Friday morning (February 2).

Rizvi claimed that the government is interrupting in many ways so that BNP fails to hold its Executive Committee meeting on Saturday (February 3). BNP executive committee members are being arrested while collecting their identity card from party office and also from home. This is the example of ruling Awami League’s democracy.

Urging country men to raise voice against government oppression, Rizvi said, “The intention is pretty clear to the nation. Their main goal is to tyrannize BNP and hold an election of their own preference.”
