BNP’s Aman, Nazim arrested over attack on police

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Aman Ullah Aman and the party’s Executive Committee member Nazim Uddin Alam in a case filed over carrying out attack on police and vandalizing prison van near the High Court recently.

RAB Media Wing & Legal Wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan confirmed the news to Banglanews.

They were detained from the house no.267 at road no.31 in Mohakhali DOHS area after 9 at the night, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Earlier, the law enforcers have been cordoning-off the house since the evening, he added.

However, the case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station, over the attack on police members and a prison van by BNP men in front of the High Court on January 30 when BNP chief Khaleda Zia was leaving the court after her hearing in a graft case. BNP men also snatched two of their fellows after vandalizing the prison van.
