DHAKA: BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman, who has been living in London for nine years, has joined the BNP National Executive Committee Meeting through videoconferencing Saturday (February 3).
The meeting began at 11:05am, at Le Meridien hotel in Dhaka, with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in chair.
Commemorating 178 artists, litterateurs and politicians from national and international arenas, a mourning proposal was presented at the beginning of the meeting, moderated by BNP Publicity Affairs Secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie.
Tarique Rahman delivered the keynote speech through a video call from London, at around 11:30am, addressing the party leaders and activists.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Mirza Abbas, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury were among others attended the meeting.
