‘BNP to lose registration if boycotts polls’

COMILLA: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP will lose the registration if the party does not take part in the next general election.

He said this while talking to journalists after inaugurating Shashongachha Railway Overpass in Comilla on Saturday (February 03).

Comilla city unit Awami League president AKM Bahauddin Bahar MP and other leaders of the party were present at the time.

Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said that the BNP has to come in the polls to protect its registration. Otherwise, the party will lose the registration with the Election Commission, he said.

He further said that the next election will be held as per the constitution. The election-time government size will be small. The law enforcers will go under the Election Commission.
