4 BNP men held in B’baria

BRAHMANBARIA: Police, in a drive, detained four leaders and activists of BNP while they were conducting a secret meeting in Ashuganj of Brahmanbaria.

They are—Alamgir Hossain and Abdu Mia, joint secretary generals of upazila unit BNP, Humayun Kabir, secretary general of sadar union unit BNP and Salam Mia, a BNP supporter. 

Ashuganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Badrul Alam Talukder told Banglanews that they were holding a secret meeting at the upazila unit BNP President Abu Asif’s house at the night, to plan anarchic activities marking the BNP Chairperson’s verdict of February 8.

On information, police conducted a drive and nabbed the four.

A case will be field against them, he added.
