BNJP seeks polls under polls-time govt BNJP leaders at the press conference

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Janata Party (BNJP) demanded the upcoming national parliamentary election to be held under the supervision of a polls-time government, not a caretaker one.

BNJP Chairman Foyez Chowdhury raised the demand at a press conference held at Jatiya Press Club Saturday (February 10).

BNJP Senior Co-Chairmen Quddusur Rahman, Shahidur Rahman and Secretary General Rehman Mohsin were present there.

“The country won’t witness violence and the people won’t be killed if the next election is arranged under a polls-time government rather than any supportive of caretaker government”, said Foyez.

However, the BNJP leaders further said that they have taken an initiated to forge a 20-party alliance, putting faith upon the spirit of the Liberation War.
