DHAKA: BNP has once again announced to hold public rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on March 11 demanding unconditional release of party chairperson Khaleda Zia who is now in jail.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement at a press briefing in party’s central office on Thursday (March 1).

Rizvi said they have already sent letters to authorities seeking permission to hold the rally at the place.

Earlier authorities concerned did not give BNP permission for holding its rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on February 22 showing excuse of February 21 and book fair.

Rizvi also said BNP Khulna divisional unit is set to hold a rally in the divisional city on March 10.
