DHAKA: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader reacted to a remark made by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir that alleged about the ruling party’s link with the attack on Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal.
Rejecting Fakhrul’s remark, Obaidul Quader, also, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, “People of Bangladesh won’t believe it. Rather, BNP will get fewer votes because of this.”
“It is the record of falsehood. BNP will say so,” Quader added.
Obaidul Quader was talking to the reporters after a meeting with Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla Tuesday (March 6).
Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Awami League was involved in the March 3 knife attack on SUST teacher Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal in Sylhet.
