DHAKA: BNP is set to stage fresh protest programs in Dhaka city Saturday (March 10), condemning the police action on their peaceful sit-in program before the Jatiya Press Club Thursday (March 8).

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the program in a press briefing at their central party office in Nayapaltan at noon.

“The government has created disorder through intruding into the peaceful program of BNP”, said Fakhrul.

“Members of the law enforcement agencies have created anarchy and arrested the party leaders and activists after being mingled with them in plain clothes”, he added.

BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo, Publicity affairs Secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie and Executive committee member Abdus Salam were among others present there.
