DHAKA: Five lawyers of jailed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia went to the old central jail to meet her Thursday (March 8).

Authorities of the prison at Nazimuddin Road in old part of the capital city permitted the lawyers to enter inside at around 4:30pm.

They are—Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali, Advocate Joynul Abedin, Barrister Mahabubuddin Khokon, Advocate Abdur Razzak and Advocate Sanaullah Mia.

Earlier, a team of eight BNP senior leaders led by secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir meet Khaleda in jail Wednesday (March 7).

A Dhaka special court sentenced Khaleda Zia to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on February 8. She landed in jail on the same day.
