CHITTAGONG: Chittagong metropolitan, north and south district units of Awami League will hold an extended meeting Saturday (March 9) as part of the preparations for a party rally.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to join the rally on March 21.

However, the meeting has been called at Muslim Institute Hall in the city Saturday morning.  

Several sources said that the meeting will discuss about venue for the rally, publicity, communication and other related issues.

Metropolitan unit Awami League leaders including Acting President Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury and General Secretary AJM Nasir Uddin will speak the meeting.
