12 SUST BCL men expelled Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST)

SUST: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has expelled 12 leaders and activists of its Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit over infighting in the campus.

Of the 12 men, BCL central committee members Sazidul Islam Sabuj and Abu Syed Akando were expelled for life. 

BCL central publicity secretary and acting university leader Saifuddin Babu confirmed the matter Banglanews on Wednesday noon (March 21).

Other expelled members are BCL vice-president Syed Juem, Joint Secretary Ashraful Alam Antu, Organizing Secretary Dolan Ahmad, Deputy Liberation War Secretary Laxman Chandra Barman, Member Munqir Kazi, Toufiqur Rahman, Basir Mia, BCL activists Meher Uddin Himel, Raihan Ahmed and Shariful Islam Malek.

Locals said, on Tuesday night (March 20), two factions of the SUST BCL unit clash while a student were shot and taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Meical College Hospital in a critical condition.
