ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY: Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said that Bangladesh is now 39th among all the countries to secure stability in financial status.
“Bangladesh will be elevated as a middle-income nation by 2021 if this current flow of development continues. Now we are marching towards ‘that Bangladesh’,” he said.
He, as the chief guest, was addressing a discussion marking the Independence Day, at Islamic University (IU) Saturday (March 24).
“Bangladesh was recognized as a less developed country few days but now have achieved the honor of a developing country, Hanif added.
The discussion was chaired by IU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari and participated by some others including faculties.
