DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday (March 26) said that no rule of law is in place in the country at present.
“The country is facing such a condition as there is no rule of law. Bangladesh is a country without democracy”, he said.
“The Liberation War took place for democracy but now the democracy is confined,” he added.
Fakhrul, accompanying some BNP leaders, went to the National Memorial in Savar, to pay homage to the martyrs of Liberation War of 1971.
They paid tribute to the martyrs by placing floral wreaths on behalf of the party and left the National Memorial, at 10:00am
