DHAKA: A three-member BNP team has gone to the Home Ministry to seek permission for holding a rally in Suhrawardy Udyan of Dhaka.    

The party is scheduled to hold rally in Suhrawardy Udyan on Thursday (March 29).

Earlier, BNP sought permission three times to stage rally in the same place demanding the unconditional release of its Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

The delegation has gone to the ministry to meet Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at his secretariat office Tuesday (March 27), BNP publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie told Banglanews.

Headed by BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, the team includes Vice Chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury.
