DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir demanded immediate release of their party chief Khaleda Zia, so that she can go abroad for treatment.

Fakhrul made the urge at a press briefing in BNP central party office in Nayapaltan on Friday morning (March 30).

“Khaleda Zia should be given the opportunities of improved treatment and health check-up by her own physicians. The jail code even has the rules to provide the opportunity of checking up health by own physicians,” he said.  

“We want to know that how is she doing. Let her given the scope of treatment by own physicians,” added Fakhrul. 

BNP standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi were among others present there.
