DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has some health related problems in her neck and waist, although her blood report is very normal.

Prof Shamsuzzaman, head of orthopedics at Dhaka Medical College Hospital made the comments after reviewing health check-up report.

He said, “She (Khaleda Zia) is experiencing some problems in her neck and waist due to old age, and previous issues, as we have got her blood test and X-ray report.”

On April 1, a four-member medical board examined the health condition of Khaleda Zia who was kept at old central jail in Dhaka’s Nazimuddin road.

Four physicians of DMCH examined the health condition of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia. After the examination, it was found that BNP chief has been suffering from some old and newly developed health conditions, but none of them are serious.

On April 3, medical report on the health condition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was submitted to jail authorities.

On April 7, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University from Dhaka Central Jail intersection for health check-ups.

Following medical examination, she was sent back to jail on the same day.

Khaleda Zia landed in jail on February 8, as she was sentenced to five years' imprisonment in a graft case filed against her.
