‘Ailing’ Khaleda gets no treatment in jail: Rizvi

DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that though their party chief Khaleda Zia is severely sick in the jail but she isn’t getting any medical care.

Khaleda Zia isn’t being given medical facilities as part of a conspiracy to damage her gradually after convicting her in a planned way, he said.

“It’s also part of a multipurpose conspiracy to demolish the nationalist force”

“The elderly leader (Khaleda) who has been suffering from knee and eye problems for long, is now facing more physical complexities as she has been kept in the unhygienic atmosphere of prison”, he added.

Her personal physicians were called at BSMMU (Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University), when the leader (Khaleda) was taken there, but she wasn’t given any treatment and advises from them, Rizvi alleged.

Rizvi demanded immediate and unconditional release of Khaleda so that she can avail ‘proper treatment’.

He also urged the concerned authority to ensure medical facilities for Khaleda as per her decision.
