LALMONIRHAT: Jatiya Party Chairman also former president HM Ershad said that the banks now don’t have money as the Awami League-led government has looted all the moneys from banks.
“The youths backed by Awami League stopped the girls at road and ‘raped’ them. Police don’t accept case. Therefore, the fathers are compelled to arrange early marriage for their girls at the age of 14,” he said.
Ershad was addressing a rally on Kumrirhat SC High School & College ground in Aditmari upazila of Lalmonithar Monday evening (April 16).
“The countrymen now want a change. We are rising. The tenderness the countrymen hold for Jatiya Party proves that we will form the government in the upcoming days,” he added.
State Minister for LGED (Local Government, Engineering Department) also JP Presidium Member Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Presidium Member Maj (retd) Khaled Akter, Political Adviser to Ershad Barrister Shameem Haider Chowdhury and Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostofa were among others addressed the rally.
