PABNA: Police on Tuesday (April 24) recovered the slit-throat body of an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from the roof of his residence in Pabna.

The deceased was identified as Shahed Hasan Shuvo, 30, son of Arshed Alom in Radhanagar Narayanpur area under Pabna municipality.

Advocate Sohel Hasan, elder brother of the deceased, told Banglanews that Shuvo was found dead on the roof after a search in the house.

Shuvo was an activist of BCL a few days ago too. He left politics to settle his mind on business, following family pressure. Enraged over such decision, someone might have murdered him, said Sohel.

However, the body was sent to Pabna General Hospital Morgue.

Investigation and the process to file a case is underway, said Obaidul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station.
