DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed concern saying that their convicted party chief Khaleda Zia’s physical condition is very worsening.
“Her health condition turned very poor. We have become worried after observing her condition today”
Fakhrul was talking to the reporters after visiting BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at the old central jail Saturday (April 28).
He headed the three-member BNP team of standing committee members Nazrul Islam Khan and Mirza Abbas in the over one hour visit.
“Her left hand is getting inflexible gradually. It also is overweighting. Increased pain felt on the left part of her body, extending from the left leg. Now it has become difficult for her to move normally”
“Her right eye has turned red. The physicians reiterated today that the sickness she is going through may harm her if deteriorates,” Fakhrul described the sickness of Khaleda thus.
He reiterated his request to the concerned authority for allowing Khaleda to be treated at the hospital she prefers otherwise the government must take the liability if she affected.
However, BNP chief Khaleda Zia landed in jail on February 8, being convicted with 5-year jail sentence in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
