DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said he has doubts about BNP’s patriotism as it denies country’s progress.
“BNP is very reticent about country’s achievements to acknowledge. They don’t take pride in success of the country. I have got questions on their patriotism. While trying to deny achievement and success of Awami League regime, BNP has denied achievement and success of the country,” he said.
Obaidul Quader, also, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister came up with this remark in a seminar titled 'Elimination of Drugs, Terrorism and Militancy,’ held at Shekh Russel Rolling Skating Complex auditorium on Saturday (May 12).
He said, “BNP only does ‘partism.’ Their only goal is to come to power by any means. They speak against AL a lot, but they speak nothing against drugs, terrorism and militancy.”
Obaidul Quader also said a BNP leader said, on Facebook live, that Ziaur Rahman dreamed of a satellite much earlier. They would even claim Padma Bridge was a dream of Ziaur Rahman some time later.
