DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said party has started its mission to reconstruct the organizing committee in all the districts to accelerate Khaleda Zia's release from jail.
This program is a part of preparation of party’s council, the BNP secretary general told reporters on Saturday (June 22).
Mirza Fakhrul came up with the announcement after placing wreaths at graveyard of BNP’s founder Ziaur Rahman with attendence of new members of BNP standing committee Selima Rahman and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku.
Mirza Fakhrul said: “We have sworn in with new members of the Standing Committee to augment release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and freedom of democracy. So, election has to be staged under a non-partisan government to elect a representative of the people.”
Other BNP’s standing committee members were present there.
