DHAKA: Although the physical condition Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad is not much changed, but remained better than before, said the party’s acting Chairman GM Quader. 

The party top leaders briefed the media about latest update about Ershad’s health condition at the party head's office in capita’s Banani area on Tuesday (July 2). 

During this time, GM Quader said Ershad's health condition was not worse than before. He is responding to the doctors’ call. The situation is better than that.

Refusing the news about Ershad kept on life support, GM Quader said that it is not true; he (Ershad) has not been kept on life support. He was given oxygen after two hours. Ershad was given normal oxygen and then given “oxygen under pressure”.

Ershad's condition remains in such state that it was not possible to take him abroad for treatment, said GM Quader adding that his condition is not out of danger. 

Earlier, Jatiya Party's acting chairman GM Quader and Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga visited ailing Ershad at the Combined Military Hospital at 10:30 am.

Former President HM Ershad has been admitted to CMH in Dhaka on Wednesday (June 26) due to old-age complications.
