DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, now kept on life support at Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka, needs B+ (Positive) for treatment.
The party, in a statement sent to media on Friday (July 5), urged people who are interested to donate B+ (Positive) blood to contact the CMH.
Earlier, speaking to reporters after visiting Ershad at the hospital, GM Quader, party’s acting chairman, on Thursday (July 4) said that the 89-year-old former military ruler of the country put on life support around 4:10pm.
Ershad who has been suffering from low hemoglobin count, liver complications, lung and kidney infections, had been put on oxygen support since June 30.
Quoting doctors, GM Quader said Lung infection is not improving as per expectations of doctors. Besides, his kidneys are not working as needed. As a result, there is no improvement in his health condition.
GM Quader, at a press conference in the morning, said the physical condition of HM Ershad remained unchanged.
Earlier on Wednesday, JP Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga, at a press conference, said Party Chairman HM Ershad is suffering from bone cancer. The hemoglobin count in his blood is less that 10 percent since ago.
Ershad has been admitted to CMH-Dhaka on Wednesday (June 26) with old-age complications.
