AL leader remanded in BCL fellow murder case Didarul Alam Masum in police custody

CHATTOGRAM: A court here on Monday (August 5) placed a local leader of Awami League on two days' remand in Chhatra League leader Sudipto Biswas murder case.

The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Salem Mohammad Noman granted the remand after Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) produced Didarul Alam Masum before the court with 10 days' remand plea.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Senior Assistant Commissioner (Prosecution) Kazi Shahabuddin Ahmed confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

PBI arrested Masum from Dhaka's Banani Sunday (August 4) night. 

Lalkhan Bazar ward Awami League unit General Secretary Didarul Alam Masum was mentioned, in the deposition, as a mastermind.

Recently, Masum was stripped off licences of his two arms, upon an order from the home ministry.

He handed over the arms to Khulshi Police Station on Saturday (August 3).
