DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan South Unit BNP on Saturday (August 10) distributed leaflets to raise awareness among Dhaka residents against mosquito-borne viral dengue fever.  

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi led the initiative in Hatirpul Bazar and Eastern Plaza and Motaleb Plaza areas, at noon.

"Dengue situation wouldn't turn such terrible if the government took effective initiative early. Such number of people wouldn't have been infected and died of the fever," he said in a brief rally.

Dhaka Metropolitan South Unit BNP President Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel, Acting Secretary General Habibur Rashid Habib, Vice President also Kalabagan Thana unit President Sirajul Islam Siraj and Joint Secretary Farhad Hossain, among others, took part in the awareness raising program.
