DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has greeted people of the country and wished them ‘Eid Mubarak’ on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha from jail.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this at a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on Sunday (August 11).
“Imprisoned BNP chief Khaleda Zia greeted the countrymen, all levels leaders of the party, family members of the victims of murders and torture on Eid ul Azha,” Rizvi said.
At the same time, Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of the party, and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also greeted people on Eid ul Azha. Khaleda and Tarique sought blessings from people, he also said.
Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest Muslim festival, will be celebrated across the country on Monday (August 12).
