DHAKA: Bashundhara Group Sports Fiesta 2014 was kicked off through a ceremony on Saturday at the premises of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) Mediaplex in city’s Bashundhara Residential area.

Bashundhara Group Additional Managing Director Safwan Sobhan inaugurated the sports festival by releasing balloons and pigeons in the air in the afternoon.

Bashundhara Group, country’s leading business conglomerate, has arranged the month-long festival for its employees like every year.

This year, four events—Badminton (Singles/Doubles), Table Tennis (Singles/Doubles), Chess and Football--have been included in sports fiesta.

Executive Director (Accounts and Finance) of East-West Property Development and also Convener of the Sports Festival Imrul Hasan thanked Safwan Sobhan.

He also hoped that everyone would enjoy the competition.

Chief Advisor of Bashundhara Group Mahbub Morshed Hasan along with Media Advisor of Bashundhara Group Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Editor of Daily Sun Amir Hossain, Editor of Daily Kaler Kantho Imdadul Haq Milon and Editor of Daily Bangladesh Pratidin Naem Nizam were among others present at the inaugural ceremony.
