DHAKA: Eminent hockey player Jummon Lusai, and also the former captain of Bangladesh Hockey Team, passed away at a city hospital on Sunday.

He was 59.

Sources told banglanews that he breathed last at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) around 3:00pm.

He was kept on life-support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of BSMMU after being transferred from Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, where he had been admitted on Friday following a brain hemorrhage, sources added.
