DHAKA: The three-day 35th American Cup Golf Tournament kicked-off at the Kurmitola Golf Club of the city on Friday. 

Chevron Bangladesh is organizing sponsor of the tournament.

Media Officer of Chevron Bangladesh (External Affairs) Sabrina Khan sent a press release in this regard.

Nearly 600 pro and amateur golfers are competing for coveted trophies and prizes in an event that the golfing circle here eagerly looks forward to every year. 

Chief of Air Staff Air Marshall Muhammad Enamul Bari was present as Chief Guest. Chevron Bangladesh President and American Cup Golf Tournament Committee Chairman Kevin Lyon was also present here.

Chevron Bangladesh continued its long tradition of co-sponsoring the three-day event along with a host of local and international business organizations. 

Corporate sponsors that came on board this year included Standard Chartered Bank, Halliburton, Weatherford, Tiger Cement, Green Delta Insurance, FedEx, Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Polar, RR Kabel, Bondstein Technologies, Orogenic Resources, Robi Axiata, and Coca-Cola. 

Several hotels and airlines also joined in to contribute attractive raffle-draw prizes that added the event’s appeal.
