DHAKA: Steven Finn claimed five wickets including a hat-trick to help England restrict hosts Australia to make an MCG record total of 344. 

Australia lost nine wickets to set a 343-run target for England after the end of over-50 in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

England bowlers Finn picked up three wickets in last three balls of the Australian innings.

Finn's hat-trick in England's tournament opener against co-hosts Australia was the eighth in World Cup history.

On the other hand, Australian batsman Aaron Finch bagged the first century in the World Cup though went back to the pavilion scoring 135 runs with 12 boundaries and three sixes.
