DHAKA: Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara on Wednesday became the first batsman in the world to score four consecutive centuries in the World Cup 2015. He accomplished this achievement against Scotland at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart.

With this century, former Sri Lankan cricket captain Kumar Sangakarra scored his fourth consecutive century in the World Cup to create a world record.

This is his Sangakarra's 25th century in One Day Internationals. Meanwhile, this is Dilshan's fourth hundred in the World Cups. The swashbuckling opener finally departed on 104 in 99 balls, while Sangakarra continues to bat.

A devoted Sri Lankan fan, unable to hold back his adoration for Sangakkara, asked: "Sangakkara has made 372 runs at an average of 124.00 and a strike rate of 116.25. The second best average is AB De Villiers with 79.50. Isn't it time everyone admits he is the best batsman in the world today and not compare him with others?"
