BCB's reception to Tigers in next week

DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will accord a reception to the national cricket team on April 8 or 9 for their successful mission in the just concluded World Cup in the Australia and New Zealand.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papan confirmed the matter to reporters at his Gulshan residence on Friday.

Mashrafe Mortaza-led Bangladesh team reached the quarter finals of the competition for the first time after beating England, Afghanistan and Scotland and sharing point with Australia due to rain in the first round.

Regarding the matter, Papan said, “A mass reception will be given to the national cricket team on April 8 or 9. BCB will sit on Sunday to fix the matter.”

Earlier on March 22, Bangladesh Cricket team, have been given a royal reception on arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after ending a successful Cricket World Cup mission. 

The directors of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), different socio-cultural organizations and thousands of cricket fans greeted the players at the airport.
