DHAKA: Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) president Shamim Ahsan met the World Bank’s country director to Bangladesh Johannes Zutt at the WB office in city’s Agargaon area on Tuesday.

BASIS delegation asked for help from the WB officials about creating IT specialists in the country.

Zutt promised to work with BASIS jointly and encourage foreign investors to invest in Bangladesh.

Senior vice-president of BASIS Syed Almas Kabir and WB financial sector specialist Shah Nurul Qaium also were present in the meeting.
