ULAB seminar on IT career Friday

DHAKA: Student’s Forum ULAB Chapter, ULAB Department of CSE and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) is set to organize a panel discussion session at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on May 29.

The discussion session titled ‘IT Career Scenario: Local and International Market’ will be held at 4pm to increase career consciousness among students to create better IT professionals, said a press release, issued by the university.

Leaders in IT industry of Bangladesh will discuss career aspects in IT arena.

The speakers include former president of BASIS Rafiqul Islam Rowly, also Co-Founder of CSL Soft, joint secretary general of BASIS Mostafizur Rahaman Sohel, also MD of Advanced ERP, and convener of BASIS Students’ Forum Ariful Hasan Opu, director of cloud team Mohammad Zaman and head of CSE Department of ULAB Professor Dr. Sazzad Hossain

The event will be moderated by Mentor of BASIS Students’ Forum-ULAB chapter, Saugata Bose, Assistant Professor of CSE Department of ULAB.

The topics will include the current IT job market scenario, major obstacles that prevent growth and how to overcome these obstacles, latest hiring scenario in IT sector, human resource and skills required in IT sector, entrepreneurial opportunities in IT sector etc.

The event is open for all upon registration.
