Bangladesh to join INFOCOM meet in Kolkata

DHAKA: A 20-member Bangladesh delegation under the leadership of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Forum president Tapan Kanti Sarkar will join the 14th edition of INFOCOM in Kolkata of India.

INFOCOM, the annual flagship Business-Technology-Leadership Event will be held on December 3-5 in the capital city of Indian province West Bengal.

CTO Forum president, in a press conference at its office, said they will join the event for fourth time. 

‘The congregation of ICT professionals, buyers-sellers, corporate leaders, academics, visionaries, and policymakers will help us develop our working skill through sharing experiences and knowledge, he added.

Delegations from different countries will join the discussions on ICT related topics and exhibition at ITC Sonar.

There will be a three-day conference along with an exhibition and award giving ceremonies.

In March next year, CTO Summit Bangladesh-2016 will be held, with the initiative of IINFOCOM and CTO Forum. An agreement on cooperation will be signed at INFOCOM Calcutta, organizers said.

Tapan Kanti Sarker will present keynote paper on cyber security at a seminar at the upcoming event.

However, INFOCOM 2015, with the theme of “Connected World” will showcase technologies that are reinventing mobility, fueling smarter cities, redefining healthcare and smart living, smart transportation ecosystem, fuelling entrepreneurship and a new world of social life.
