DHAKA: The authorities of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) have requested the users of Citycell, the oldest mobile operator in Bangladesh, to move on to other operators within two weeks.

BTRC made the request through a notice issued on Sunday (July 31).

The notice said government might take action against the mobile operator at any time including cancelling the company’s license and spectrum due to its reluctance to pay its arrears revenue.
