University curriculum not in line with ICT

DHAKA: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the curriculum of the country’s university is not in line with the knowledge of ICT.

The state minister came up with this assertion at a press conference at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on Thursday (January 12).

The ICT division organized the program to celebrate the completion of three successful years of Digital Bangladesh.

Bangladesh experience scarcity of skilled human resources as our education system failed to provide education with practical knowledge, the ICT state minister added.

Students must be introduced with programming as well as Math and Science. Moreover, the academic curriculum should be more practical oriented.

However, the government is now offering different kind of training. Even, six ultra modern cars were launched to train women in rural areas.
