DHAKA: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith hinted that the price of internet might be reduced in the national budget for 2018-19 FY, the last yearly occasion in the tenure of the government.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest, on the concluding day of 4-day Digital World fair in Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) Saturday (December 9).

While responding to a question from Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) President Mustafa Jabbar regarding internet price, the minister said that he will consider the matter as the next budget will be the last one for him under the current government’s regime. 

“I will prepare my last budget next year. So, let’s see what can I do”, Muhith said.

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the concluding program of the tech expo as the special guest.
