DHAKA: Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) presented a proposal to NBR for lifting the 21.75pc tax imposed on mobile phone internet.

The tax includes VAT (Value Added Tax), SD and surcharge.

Besides, leaders of the telecom operators’ body also urged for withdrawing tax on imported 4G mobile phone sets.

They sat in a pre-budget discussion with National Board of Revenue (NBR), at the latter’s conference room in Segunbagicha of Dhaka Monday (April 16).

AMTOB leaders and NBR officials participated in the meeting chaired by NBR Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
